Major Account Executive (North America- East)
We are currently seeking an energetic Major Account Executive who will be responsible for prospecting, leading demos and closing new business. Candidate must be highly competitive, out-going, quota-carrying professional who is excited about taking an active role in driving new revenue and expanding our market presence. Prior experience as a "hunter" of new business and prior success in exceeding sales quotas and goals is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include managing sales pipelines, forecasting to management and closing business deals while meeting/exceeding revenue and lead-handling targets.
Key activities include the following:
- Develop a plan to reach sales quota by converting leads generated from web marketing and outbound cold-calling efforts
- Establish and maintain senior-level relationships within target accounts
- Effectively qualify clients to assess their needs
- Accurately enter, update, and maintain prospect information in sales management database for processing sales, and keeping comprehensive and accurate client information
- Follow company policies and sales procedures effectively
- Assist with the development of new sales tools and presentations
- Review market to determine customer needs and report back changing market conditions to management
- Develop proficiency in our solutions, as well as a keen understanding of competitive products
Qualifications
- 5+ years successful sales track record in meeting or exceeding assigned individual quota
- Relevant sales experience in the last two years in Enterprise Content Management
- Prior experience working with all management levels up to and including C-level executives
- Solution sales experience strongly preferred
- Excellent oral and written communications skills including strong presentation/demo skills both in person and via phone/web presentation
- Effective time management skills
- Strong technology skills and ability to credibly lead a complete solution selling engagement
- Proficiency with the Internet, MS Office, Salesforce.com or related CRM applications
- Previous formal sales training is a plus
